Altamont softball picked up two more wins on Saturday, beating Milledgeville and Sullivan, to finish the Future Champions Jamboree at 3-0. The first contest on Saturday was a Varsity contest with the Lady Indians getting a 7-1 win over Milledgeville. Altamont put up their first run in the third inning and another two in the fourth inning before pushing four runs across the plate in the bottom of the fifth inning for a 7-0 lead. The Missiles scored their one and only run in the top of the sixth inning before the Lady Indians closed out the 7-1 win. Grace Lemke got the complete game win in the circle giving up one run on one hit and striking out 18 batters. Madison Tonn went 2 for 3 at the plate with a pair of runs and an RBI to lead Altamont. In the second game of the day, the Lady Indians faced Sullivan in a JV contest and Altamont was able to get by the Redskins for a 15-11 win. The Lady Indians tallied 11 hits in the win, including an inside the park home run from Laila Hankins that brought in a pair of runs. Altamont Varsity softball is now 3-0 on the season and the JV is 1-0. Altamont returns to action today as they go on the road again to face Fairfield.
