Fighting Illini wait for start of Big 10 Tournament

The Illinois Fighting Illini will now wait for action in the Big 10 tournament after finishing up the regular season.  The Illini took a 43 point loss to Duke on February 22nd at Madison Square Garden.  But, they rebounded after that to win their final 3 regular season games.  Coach Brad Underwood believes their tough schedule helped them quickly get past that loss and finish strong.

Illinois finished the regular season at 20-11 overall and 12-8 in the Big 10.  They moved back into the AP top 25 on Monday, coming in at #24.  They will play on Thursday afternoon in the Big 10 Tournament in Indianapolis when they will take on the winner of Wednesday’s game between Ohio State and Iowa.
