Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City girls basketball used a big second half to get a comeback win over Neoga on Tuesday night, 59-49, in regular season National Trail Conference action. The Bobcats and Neoga would pace each other in the first quarter as the Indians took a 18-15 lead over CHBC by the end of the first quarter. The second quarter would prove to be more of the same, with Neoga outscoring CHBC by three in the quarter, 14-11, as CHBC trailed 32-26 at halftime. The Bobcats came out strong in the third quarter and would hold Neoga to six points in the third quarter while tallying 1 of their own to pull ahead for a 42-38 lead at the end of the third. A 17-11 run through the fourth would help the Bobcats edge their lead out and close out the 59-49 win. Having won three games in a row and six of their last eight games, CHBC is now 13-10 on the season and 4-2 in the NTC. For the second time this week, the Bobcats will face a team they just played last week in the NTC Tournament, when they travel to Windsor to take on Windsor/Stew-Stras on Thursday in another NTC matchup.
