The Altamont Indians suffered a heartbreaking loss on Thursday falling to St. Anthony 11-9 on a walk-off 2-run home run by the Bulldogs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Altamont would get down early, trailing 4-0 after the first inning but would score four runs of their own in the top of the second to tie the game up at 4-4. After two and a half scoreless innings, the Indians would take the lead 6-4 in the top of the fifth inning, but the lead would quickly be taken away in the bottom half of the inning as St. Anthony scored four to take the lead back, 8-6. The Indians again bounced back, pushing across 3 runs in the top of the sixth inning for a 9-8 lead, but the Bulldogs again answered, tying the game up at 9-9 in the bottom of the sixth. Altamont was held scoreless in the top of the seventh before a leadoff walk would be followed up by a walk-off 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. With the loss, Altamont drops to 1-4 on the season.
