Vandalia junior wrestler Lauren Dothager has finished in Fourth Place in the 135lb weight class at the IHSA Girls Wrestling State Finals. Dothager lost by Fall in 2:44 in the Third Place match against Alyssa Keane of Tinley Park Andrew. Dothager finishes the tournament at 4-2 and goes 15-8 overall on the season.
Dothager started the tournament with a first round loss on Friday but bounced back with two wins in the first two rounds of Wrestlebacks, also on Friday. Dothager then started off Saturday morning picking up a win by Decision, 6-3, over Kaila Williams of Peoria Richwoods in the Wrestleback Quarterfinals and then followed that up with another win by Decision, 2-1, over Mannie Anderson of Hoffman Estates Conant in Wrestleback Semifinals before falling to Keane in the Third Place Match.
