CHBC Girls Move to 3-0 in NTC with Close Win Over Altamont


The CHBC girls basketball team rebounded from their only loss of the season on Tuesday with a close 50-48 conference win over Altamont on Thursday night. After Altamont got on the board first to start the game, CHBC took their first lead of the game, 4-3, after four straight made free throws by Marissa Summers and Lani Morrison. After going up 12-8 with under a minute to CHBC would get out to a 14-9 lead by the end of the quarter and push that lead to 29-21 at halftime. Despite being outscored in the third quarter, CHBC remained ahead 42-36 heading into the 4th quarter and managed to stave off a late Altamont comeback attempt to get the 50-48 win. CHBC is now 10-1 overall on the season and moves to 3-0 in the National Trail Conference. The Bobcats will have a week and half off now before getting back into action after Christmas at the Dieterich Holiday Tournament on December 27.
