Taylor University baseball is 4-2 on the season after going 2-1 in the Coach Calderone Invitational in Arizona. The Trojans beat Arizona Christian 6-3 on Wednesday before falling to Benedictine University at Mesa on Thursday 2-0. Greenville High School grad Luke Carlson went an inning and two thirds on the mound during the loss, giving up both of the game’s only two runs on two hits while also recording 3 strikeouts.
Taylor bounced back into the win column, beating Ottawa University-Arizona on Friday, 12-5. Taylor wraps up their Arizona road trip Saturday evening with one more game against Arizona Christian before heading back to the Midwest where they will play Bethel University on Friday, February 5 at 2:00 and again Saturday for a doubleheader with the first game set for 11:00am.
