South Central Held to Three Hits in 12-2 Loss to T-Town

South Central baseball was held to just a pair of runs on three hits as the Cougars fell at home to T-Town, 12 to 2 on Monday. The Wooden Shoes got out to a 4-0 lead before South Central got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning. With one out and the batting order flipping to the top, Callaway Smith belted a home run to center field to break up the shut out at the Cougars cut the T-Town lead to 4-1. Back to back walks by Trevan Sidwell and Zane Montes put runners at first and second and Chase Guerrettaz singled to center field to score Sidwell to further cut the Shoes lead down to 4-2. That would wrap up the Cougars scoring in the game though as T-Town scored eight unanswered runs to pull away and hand the Cougars the 12-2 loss. South Central drops to 7-8 on the season and will be at home again on Wednesday as they host Effingham.
