The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats scored 11 runs in the first inning and never looked back getting a 20-1 win over the Ramsey Rams on Monday. Before the game, the Bobcats honored seniors Wyatt Rueff, Connor Nowitzke, AJ Radloff, Blake Mueller, Kaidyn Calame, Kyle Lamb, Hunter Pope, and Eli McDowell. CHBC wasted no time getting on the scoreboard when Wyatt Rueff hit a two-run home run to kickstart an 11-run first inning. The Bobcats would add six runs in the second inning, highlighted by an RBI double from Nowitzke, and Rueff’s second homer of the afternoon. Ramsey would get a run on the board in the top of the third inning, but CHBC was not done adding on, scoring three runs in the third, before shutting out Ramsey for the 20-1 victory. The win improves CHBC to 5-11 on the season. The Bobcats will be back home on Tuesday to take on Shelbyville.
