Nolan Wilhour hit a RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Brownstown-St. Elmo baseball a 6 to 5 win over Odin-Patoka-Sandoval on Thursday. The Bombers fell behind 2-0 before tying the game up at 2-2 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third inning. BSE then took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth before OPS was able to tie the game up at 3-3 in the fifth inning. A two-run fifth inning changed the lead for the fourth time as BSE put themselves back o top 5-3. OPS responded once again, as they notched two runs in the top of the sixth inning as the game would get tied up for the third time at 5-5. The game stayed tied for just an inning until BSE put the game away in the bottom of the seventh. With runners at first and second and down to the Bombers’ last out, Wilhour singled to center field to score Keelan Speagle from second base for the walk-off 6-5 win. BSE moves to 4-9 on the season and will get right back into action today at Mulberry Grove.
