Altamont Shuts Out CHBC Behind 10 Strikeout Performance from Wagner

The Altamont Indians got a strong pitching performance from Dyson Wagner, and timely hits to earn a 3-0 win over the Cowen-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats on Thursday night. The Indians got on the board in the top of the first inning when Kade Milleville reached on an error, and would later score on a single from Brayden Elam. After a scoreless second inning, Altamont would add to their lead on an RBI single from Cooper McManaway. Wagner would help himself out with an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 3-0 ballgame. CHBC would not go away quietly however, when Kale Hardimon doubled, and Hunter Pope singled to put runners on the corners with the tying run coming to the plate with one out, but Wagner would get a strikeout and a flyout to help Altamont come away with the 3-0 win. With the victory, Altamont improves to 13-3 on the season. They will look to finish the week on Friday when they travel to Olney to take on Richland County. CHBC falls to 4-11 on the season. They will be back in action on Monday to take on Ramsey.
