Altamont Boys Take Third at Pirate Invite; Roedl With Three First Place Finishes in Jump Events


Altamont boys track and field picked up a third place finish at the Cumberland Pirate Invite on Tuesday. The Indians tallied 92.5 points, coming in behind first place Newton with 111.83 points and Cumberland with 99.33 points. The Indians had 14 place finishers (top 6) in the meet including three first place finishes in the jumps from senior Ben Roedl. The Indians are off today and will be back on the track Friday when they compete in the Coach Cork Classic at Robinson High School.

ALTAMONT PLACE FINISHERS:

First Place:

Ben Roedl – High Jump, 6’ 4”; Long Jump, 20’ 5.25” and Triple Jump, 43’ 5.5”

4×400 Relay (Jacob Johnson, Hayden Bridges, Trent Tedrick, Hayden Summers) – 3:38.96

Second Place:

Brick Wendling – Shot Put, 45’ 4” and Discus, 134’ 6.5”

Third Place:

Hayden Summers – 400m Dash, 52.07 seconds

4×100 Relay (Hayden Summers, Alex Walker, Trent Tedrick, Ben Roedl) – 46.40 seconds

Fourth Place:

Jacob Johnson – 400m Dash, 53.04 seconds

Derrick Bauer – Shot Put, 41’ 5.5”

Fifth Place:

Kamryn Wolfert – 110m Hurdles, 16.43 seconds and 300m Hurdles, 47.99 seconds

Hayden Bridges – High Jump, 5’ 7.75”

Sixth Place:

Juan Fulk – 1600m Run, 5:23.28
