With runners at the corners, Carson Milleville drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Indians got by Windsor/Stew-Stras, 4 to 3, on Monday. Altamont trailed 3-0 after the Hatchets scored a run in the second inning and two more in the third inning. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Kade Milleville led the inning off with a single and Keegan Schultz drew a walk to put runners at first and second. After the first out of the inning, Zaine Miller was hit by a pitch to load the bases and a single to right field by Cooper McManaway brought in K. Milleville and Schultz to cut the WSS to 3-2. Dyson Wagner then followed that up with a single to center field to score the courtesy runner Kaiden Wolff and tie the game up at 3-3 before a pair of fielder’s choice outs ended the inning. Carson Milleville came in to pitch in relief and got three straight outs to bring the Indians up in the bottom of the seventh. Walks by K. Milleville and Brayden Elam put runners at the corners with two outs and C. Milleville singled to center field to score K. Milleville and give Altamont the 4-3 walk-off win. The Indians move to 11-3 on the season and will host Tuscola today in their second of three home games this week.
