The South Central Lady Cougars held Neoga to two hits in a 10-0 shut out win in National Trail Conference action on Thursday. The Lady Cougars put up three runs in each of the first two innings to propel themselves to a 6-0 lead. Two more runs in the third and two more runs in the fourth inning pushed the South Central lead to 10-0 as they triggered the run rule and closed out the win in five innings. Kyra Swift led the way for the Lady Cougars going 2 for 3 with two runs scored and three RBI in the leadoff spot. Kinlee Thompson and Perci Reid each had multi-hit games as well while Lauren Johnson drove in a pair of runs. South Central is 8-7 on the season and 3-2 in the NTC. They will be off until Monday when they travel to Teutopolis.
