The St. Elmo/Brownstown Lady Eagles used a big 9 run second inning to their advantage in route to their first win of the season, defeating the Ramsey Lady Rams 16-2 on Wednesday. After Ramsey got the first run on the board in the top of the first inning, SEB would respond with a 5 run bottom of the first inning, highlighted by a two RBI single from Madi Miller. The Lady Eagles would break the game open in the bottom of the second inning, scoring 9 runs to take a 14-1 lead. SEB would score a pair of runs in the third inning before the Lady Rams would get a run across the board in the fourth inning, but SEB would pitch a scoreless fifth inning, securing the 16-2 victory. The Lady Eagles improve to 1-10 on the season. They will be back in action on Monday to take on St. Anthony.
