CHBC Rolls Over Okaw Valley as Radloff and Askins Combine to Drive in Seven Runs

CHBC baseball put together a three inning offensive surge that propelled the Bobcats to an 11 to 1 win over Okaw Valley at home on Thursday. The Timberwolves scored first with a run in the top of the first inning to go up 1-0 and would stay ahead until the bottom of the third inning. CHBC got on the board after scoring a run on a wild pitch and another run would come in during that at bat on an Okaw Valley error as the Bobcats grabbed the lead 2-1. AJ Radloff’s first two RBI in the game came with a single in the inning that brought two runs in and pushed the CHBC lead to 4-1 and a RBI groundout put the Bobcats up 5-1 at the end of the inning. CHBC rallied with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning, with Radloff’s third RBI of the game followed by Ben Askins bringing in two runs on a single to center as the CHBC lead grew to 8-1. Much like the sixth inning, CHBC got things moving with two outs in the fifth inning as Wyatt Rueff drove in a run and Askins hit a shot to left field to score two more runs as CHBC went up 11-1 to trigger the run rule and close out the win for the Bobcats. CHBC improves to 4-8 on the season and they will get right back into action today as they host Charleston at 4:30pm.
