Altamont Runs Away from Ramsey for 20-1 Win

Altamont softball scored eight first inning runs and capped off their scoring with six runs in the fourth inning for a 20 to 1 win at Ramsey on Tuesday. The Lady Indians traded singles with drawn walks to move runners around the bases in the first inning as they rolled up eight runs in the inning for a big 8-0 lead. A Ramsey error allowed two more Altamont runs score in the second inning for a 10-0 lead. Four more runs in the third inning put the game further out of reach before a six-run fourth inning wrapped up the Altamont scoring for a 20-0 lead. The Rams were able to put their one and only run across the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning on a RBI single with two outs to get Ramsey on the scoreboard, as they trailed 20-1. A strikeout ended the game and closed the book on the Lady Indians tenth win of the season as Altamont is now 10-3 on the season and will look for their eleventh on Thursday when they are back home to host CHBC in a National Trail Conference game.
