South Central softball fell to 1-2 in the National Trail Conference as they suffered a 11 to 5 loss to St, Anthony at home on Monday. After a scoreless three innings to open the game, St. Anthony scored first for a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning but the Lady Cougars responded with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning on a pair of RBI groundouts as South Central took a 2-1 lead. The Cougars extended their lead in the fifth inning on a three-run home run by Kinlee Thompson to lead 5-1. That would be all of the scoring in the game for South Central as the Bulldogs scored 10 unanswered runs over the final two innings, putting up two runs in the sixth inning and eight runs in the seventh inning as they took the lead and handed the Cougars the 11-5 loss.
