Well Nabs Eventual Game Winning RBI as Kaskaskia College Beats Olney Central College

Vandalia grad and current Kaskaskia College baseball player Reid Well drove in the eventual game winning run in the Blue Devils 3-2 win at Olney Central College on Saturday. In their final game of the weekend series, Well was slotted in as the Designated Hitter in the KC lineup and in his first at bat of the game in the first inning with a runner aboard at first, Well hit a line drive single to right field that allowed the runner to score from first for a 3-0 Blue Devil lead. The Blue Knights scored their first two runs and only runs of the game in the fifth inning, but KC held off OCC for the 3-2 win which also gave them the series win 2-1 after getting a 7-6 win on Thursday and falling to OCC 2-1 in Saturday’s first game.
