Altamont Boys Track Takes 4th at Olney Boys Invitational


Altamont boys track turned in a 4th place team finish at the Olney Boys Invitational on Friday with eight top 6 finishes while senior Ben Roedl brought the meet’s High Points award. The Indians had three first place finishes as senior Hayden Summers took the top spot in the 300m Hurdles, Roedl took first place in the High Jump and the 4×400 relay team of Jacob Johnson, Trent Tedrick, Hayden Bridges and Hayden Summers took first place by three seconds over the second place finisher. Roedl also turned in a second place finish in the Triple Jump and a fifth place finish in the Long Jump that earned him 20 points for the meet to win the High Points Award. Also turning in top 6 finishes for the meet were Jacob Johnson with a fifth place finish in the 400m Dash, Jacob Veteto with a third place finish in the Pole Vault and a sixth place finish by the 4×200 relay team of Alex Walker, Ben Roedl, Trent Tedrick and Jacob Veteto. The Indians will return to the track on Tuesday with a meet at Teutopolis along with Tuscola, Newton, North Clay and Dieterich.

Second Place:

Ben Roedl – Triple Jump, 41’ 5”

Third Place:

Jacob Veteto – Pole Vault, 12’ 6”

Fifth Place:

Jacob Johnson – 400m Dash, 54.16 seconds

Ben Roedl – Long Jump, 19’ 11”
