South Central baseball scored double digit runs in both the first and second innings on the way to a 26 to 0 win over Mulberry Grove on Tuesday. Mulberry Grove put their first two batters of the game on base but could not get a runner past second base. South Central then came up in the bottom of the first inning and took advantage of four walks, two hit by pitch, eight hits and two Aces errors to put 13 runs on the scoreboard for a big 13-0 lead. The Aces again put their first two batters on base in the second inning before stranding them on three straight outs. South Central used a combination of several walks dealt by the Aces along with a few Cougar hits to bring 12 more runs across the plate and push their already large lead to 25-0. One more South Central run in the bottom of the third inning closed out the scoring in the game as the Cougars finished off the 26-0 win. The Cougars move to 4-2 on the season and are set to be at Brownstown-St. Elmo on Thursday.
