Brownstown-St. Elmo baseball could not stop a late offensive onslaught by Neoga as they suffered a 14 to 4 loss on the road on Tuesday. The Bombers got a first inning run for a quick 1-0 lead, but two Neoga runs in the bottom of the inning put BSE down 2-1. The Indians edge their lead out to 3-1 in the third and tallied four more runs in the fourth as BSE’s deficit grew to 7-1. A 3-run home run by Calin Chandler in the top of the fifth inning allowed the Bombers to cut the Neoga lead down to 7-4. The Indians would put 7 more runs up in the bottom of the fifth inning though to pull away from BSE as the Bombers fell to Neoga 14-4 in five innings. The Bombers fall to 3-3 on the season and will be back in action on Thursday at South Central.
