Altamont baseball picked up a road game on Tuesday and got a win on that road trip, beating Cisne 7 to 2. An RBI single by Keegan Schultz and a fielder’s choice from Parker Bell gave the Indians an early 2-0 lead. Cisne was able to cut the Altamont lead in half with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make it a 2-1 ball game. The Indians busted open the game with four runs in the top of the sixth inning on a Dyson Wagner RBI single, a groundout by Brayden Elam, a Kade Milleville RBI double and a RBI single from Schultz as the Altamont pulled their lead out to 6-1. Cisne brought their second run across the plate in the bottom of the sixth to cut it to 6-2 before Altamont tacked on an insurance run in the top of the seventh as Wagner singled to drive in a run. The Indians then put away the Lions on a fly out, ground out and a strike out to close out the 7-2 win. Altamont moves to 5-2 on the season and will be on the road for their third game in series of five road games when they are in Effingham on Thursday to take on St. Anthony.
