Brownstown-St.Elmo took advantage of nine Martinsville errors and nine hits to move their runners around the bases and get a big 19-3 road win over the Blue Streaks on Thursday. The Bombers jumped ahead early with a 5-run first inning and tacked on three more runs in the second inning for an 8-0 lead. Another 3-run inning in the third and yet another in the fourth out BSE up 14-0 before Martinsville scored their first run and made it 14-1. BSE responded to the one Blue Streak run with five of their own in the top of the fifth though to push their lead out further to 19-1. Martinsville was able to put two more runs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth but it was nowhere near enough as the Bombers closed out the run rule win. BSE evens up their record to 2-2 on the season and they are back at home today to face Okaw Valley.
