Brownstown-St. Elmo scored a run early but the offense was held scoreless after that as the Bombers fell at North Clay, 11 to 1, on Wednesday. BSE scored a run in the top of the first for a slim 1-0 lead, North Clay countered with three runs in the bottom of the inning though to take the lead 3-1 and added on two more in the second to go up 5-1 over BSE. A 6-run third inning for the Cardinals busted the game open as the Bombers were held scoreless in the final four innings and suffered the 11-1 loss. BSE drops to 1-2 on the season and gets right back at it today as they host Martinsville.
