The South Central Lady Cougars struggled to get runs across the plate, falling on the road at Greenville 10- to 2 on Tuesday. The Comets got their offense going early with a first inning run, two more in the second and a 5-run third inning as South Central found themselves down 8-0. Both Cougar runs came in the top of the fifth inning as Kyra Swift scored on a double by Maddie Peddicord and then Kaitlyn Swift singled to score Peddicord as South Central cut the Greenville lead to 8-2. The Comets capped of the game’s scoring with a pair of sixth inning runs to go up 10-2 and the Cougars were held scoreless in the seventh as they suffered the 10-2 loss. South Central is now 2-2 on the season and will be at Cisne today.
