The Altamont Lady Indians are off to a 4-0 start to the season after picking up a slim 1-0 win over Fairfield on Monday. The game was scoreless for four innings before the Lady Indians scored their only run in the top of the fifth inning on a RBI single from Avery Fleeharty that scored Sophia Long to put Altamont on top 1-0. That would be it for the scoring in the game as Altamont was held to just the one run on five hits in the game. Senior pitcher Grace Lemke put on yet another dominant performance as she struck out 20 of the 23 batters she face and gave up no runs in the one hit shutout. Altamont is 4-0 on the season and will go on the road today as they open up National Trail Conference play at North Clay.
