CHBC baseball scored a run early but was held scoreless for the six innings in a 3-1 loss to Pana at home on Monday. The Bobcats got off to a 1-0 lead with two outs in the top of the first inning as Hunter Pope singled to shortstop to score Conner Nowtizke. The 1-0 lead held until the top of the fourth inning when the Panthers put up two runs on a RBI single and a CHBC error to take the lead over the Bobcats, 2-1. Both teams went through the fifth and sixth innings scoreless before Pana tacked on an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning while CHBC was held scoreless for the sixth straight inning, falling to the Panthers, 3-1. CHBC is now 0-3 on the season and will get right back at it today as they host Sullivan at 4:30pm.
