Brownstown-St. Elmo Gets Five Top 20 Finishes at Gene Armer Indoor Invitational Meet

Brownstown-St. Elmo picked up five Top 20 finishes and seven PRs at the Gene Armer Invitational held at the University of Illinois’ Armory on Saturday with 16 Class 1A team, 22 Class 2A teams and 10 Class 3A teams competing in one class. For the BSE girls in running events, Cordelia Lytle turned in a 13^th place finish in the 400m Dash with a time of 1:04.33 and Katie Berner put up a time of 10.68 seconds in the 60m Hurdles for 16^th place. In girls field events, Sasse had a best jump of 14’ 9.25” in the long jump for 16^th place and Berner reached the height of 4’ 5” for 17^th in the high jump. For the BSE boys, Trenten Monnet had a best toss of 43’ 5.25” in the Shot Put for 19^th place. BSE track will get their outdoor season underway on Thursday at Windsor/Stew-Stras.
