Vandalia Track Has Big Day at Jersey Winter Thaw With Nine Top 5 Finishes

The Vandalia High School track team had a big day at the Jersey Winter Thaw, hosted by Jerseyville High School at Principia College, turning in nine top 5 finishes and another six finishes that were in the top 10 for the meet. For the boys, Lucas Bowers won the high jump and Ian Whitehead won the 400m Dash while Sam Bowers took 3^rd in the 60m Hurdles and Kohnor Depew finished 3^rd in the High Jump. The 4×200 relay team of Jay Keck, Jayden Rench, Paddy McDowell and Kohnor Depew took 4^th place and Keck finished in 5^th place in the 200m Dash. For the girls, Hannah Brown finished 2^nd in the Shot Put and Sophie Bowers took 2^nd in the 400m Dash while Faith Duplayee finished 4th in the Pole Vault.
