Our Pro Wire Athlete of the Week for the week of March 8th is the Vandals Wrestling Team.
The Vandals capped off an incredible season last week as they ended up as the runner up in the Class 1A State Dual Team Tournament, falling to Coal City in the Championship Match. But, the Vandals put together an incredible season before that, including first-ever championships at Abe’s Rumble and the Princeton Tournament and the #1 ranking in the state by Illinois MatMen for a large chunk of the season. They also finished with 40 dual team wins on the season–a school record—and won 37 matches in a row at one point.
