In Thursday Night’s regular season finale against SCC rival Pana Panthers, Vandals Senior Wade Brannon reached a milestone in his high school basketball career, joining the 1000 point club. After drawing a foul at the 1:53 mark in the first quarter, Brannon calmly stepped up to the free throw line, and went two for two getting him over the 1000 point plateau. After the game, Brannon said that it felt good to achieve a goal he has had since he started playing.
Brannon ended the game with 17 points, giving him 1,013 for his career. Brannon and the Vandals will begin postseason play on Monday when they host Flora for the first round of the Fairfield Regional.
