St. Elmo-Brownstown used a big second quarter to pull away from Ramsey for an 86 to 52 win in Egyptian Illini Conference play on Tuesday night. After taking a 24-17 lead to end the first quarter, the Eagles outscored the Rams 22-6 in the second quarter for a 46-23 halftime lead. The third quarter would be a close one as both teams shot well coming out of the halftime as SEB had a small 16-15 scoring advantage in the quarter but continued to hold a big lead, 62-38, to start the fourth quarter. A 24-14 run through the fourth quarter for the Eagles would seal off the 86-52 win for SEB as they moved to 13-15 overall on the season and to 3-1 in the EIC and will play their final conference game on Friday when they host CHBC for Senior Night. Ramsey drops to 1-23 overall on the season and to 0-5 in the EIC. They will play their final regular season game on Friday at Mulberry Grove.
