CHBC boys basketball was held to just 14 points in the first half as they suffered a 61 to 51 loss to Central A&M in the NTC-CIC Shootout on Saturday at Altamont. A tight first quarter would see the Bobcats trail by just two points, 12-10, at the end of the quarter. The Bobcats were held to just four points in the second quarter though as the Raiders 15-4 run had the Bobcats trailing 27-14 at halftime. Their deficit would grow to 48-31 by the end of the third quarter despite an 11 point burst by Remington Howell in the quarter. CHBC went on a 20-13 run in the fourth quarter, led by 10 points in the period by Griffin Vaughn, but the run was not enough to close the gap as they took the 61-51 loss. CHBC falls to 7-19 on the season. They will be back in action Tuesday at home as they host Sandoval.
