Vandals Tyson Waughtel sets IHSA Record for Career Wins

During his Championship Match during Saturdays Individual Sectionals, Vandalia Vandals Senior Wrestler Tyson Waughtel reached a huge milestone in his high school wrestling career, getting his 202nd career win, setting the IHSA all time record for most wins in a career. After accomplishing his 200th career win during the quarterfinals on Friday Night, Tyson defeated Devin Ehler of Oakwood to tie the record, then would go on to defeat Drew Sadler of Anna Jonesboro to set the record. Tyson is currently 53-0 on the season, and is the favorite to come away with the 126 pound championship next week at the Individual State Tournament.
