Our Pro Wire Athletes of the Week for January 26 are BSE girls basketball’s Dayana Haslett and Madi Miller. Altamont girls basketball’s Kylie Osteen and Kaylee Lurkins, CHBC girls basketball’s Macee Rodman and Vandalia boys basketball’s Wade Brannon.
BSE’s Haslett and Miller, Altamont’s Osteen and Lurkins and CHBC’s Rodman were all named to the National Trail Conference’s All-Tournament team following the completion of the tournament’s Championship game on Saturday night. Haslett and Miller led the Lady Bombers to a 2nd place finish in the tournament while averaging 25 and 11.3 points per game respectively. Osteen and Lurkins would average 10 and 15.3 points per game for the Lady Indians as Altamont would finish in 4th place and Rodman averaged 27.5 points per game for the 6th place Bobcats.
Brannon led the Vandals in scoring for two of their three games at the Benton Invitational Tournament, averaging 18 points per game as the Vandals went 1-2 and finished in 6th place in the tournament. Brannon was the lone Vandals player named to the BIT All-Tournament Team. Wade has been named to the All Tournament Team is all 3 of the Vandals tournaments this year.
