CHBC girls basketball was held to five or less points in each of the first two quarters and couldn’t overcome their first half deficit as they fell at Dieterich, 52 to 36, in National Trail Conference action on Thursday night. The Bobcats were held to just four points in the first quarter and five in the second quarters as Dieterich took a 20-9 lead at halftime. CHBC would pick up their scoring in the third quarter, but they were outscored 13-9 in the quarter to trail 33-18 at the start of the fourth quarter. The Bobcats found a scoring groove in the final eight minutes, putting 18 points on the board, but 19 points from Dieterich in the same frame would keep the game out of reach for CHBC as they were handed the 52-36 loss. CHBC drops to 8-10 overall on the season and 0-4 in the NTC. They will have just one day off before getting back into action in the NTC-CIC Shootout on Saturday at Macon Meridian Middle School, taking on Father McGivney at 10:00am.
