CHBC Girls Drop NTC Matchup at North Clay


CHBC girls basketball is still looking for their first National Trail Conference win of the season after suffering a 50 to 36 loss at North Clay on Monday night. The Bobcats got off to a slow start, being outscored 14-6 in the first quarter. The girls bounced back and would get some scoring going in the second quarter and just outscored the Cardinals 12-11 in the second quarter to cut their deficit to 25-18 at halftime. They would further cut into the North Clay lead as they again had a scoring advantage in the third quarter, 11-8, to cut it down to a 33-29 heading into the fourth quarter. The Bobcats couldn’t stop a late game surge though by North Clay as they would be outscored 17-7 across the last eight minutes of the game to suffer the 50-36 loss. CHBC drops to 8-8 overall and 0-3 in the NTC. They will have a short turnaround as they get right back into action tonight, hosting Macon Meridian at 6:00pm.
