The seeds and the schedule for the 2025 National Trail Conference Girls Basketball Tournament was released on Monday night with the tournament itself now less than a week away. Defending champion St. Anthony has earned the top seed for this year’s tournament as they currently stand at 13-4 on the season and 4-0 in conference play. Right behind them is Brownstown-St. Elmo as the #2 seed with the Lady Bombers currently at 17-2 on the season and also checking in at 4-0 in conference play. Altamont will be this year’s #3 seed as they are 8-10 overall on the season, but they stand at 3-1 in conference play. Sitting in the mid-section of the tournament field is Windsor/Stew-Stras at the #4 seed (9-5 overall, 1-3 in NTC), North Clay as the #5 seed (8-7 overall, 4-1 in the NTC) and Neoga (10-9 overall, 1-3 in NTC) as the #6 seed. Rounding out the tournament seeds are Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (8-8 overall, 0-3 in NTC) as the #7 seed, Dieterich (7-10 overall, 1-4 in NTC) as the #8 seed and South Central (1-17 overall, 0-3 in NTC) will be the #9 seed. The tournament will again be hosted by Beecher City High School with play opening up on Monday, January 20 with four games on Monday beginning at 10:00am and play continuing with two games each on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights before a one day break before returning for the place games on Saturday, January 25. One change on the place day will be a split day with the Seventh, Fifth and Third Place games beginning at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm with a break following it and the Championship game set for 7:30pm.
