Altamont Drops Fourth Straight With Loss at Tuscola

Altamont boys basketball dropped their fourth straight game, suffering a 60 to 41 setback at Tuscola on Friday night. The Indians got off to a slow start offensively and were outscored by the Warriors 15-7 in the first quarter. The struggles continued in the second quarter as Tuscola would go on a 20-6 run in the quarter as Altamont would trail 35-13 at halftime. The Indians offense came out renewed after the halftime break, but despite their best scoring quarter of 15 points, the Indians gave up 23 points in the third quarter to see their deficit grow to 58-28 at the start of the fourth quarter. The Indians were able to hold the Warriors to just two points in the fourth quarter while scoring 13 points themselves, but their first half offensive struggles were too much to overcome as they took the 60-41 loss. Altamont is now 3-5 on the season and will hit the court again after the Christmas holiday when they face New Athens in their opening game of the Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament on Thursday, December 26 at 3:00pm.
