Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball continued to roll on Thursday getting a 78 to 27 win at Neoga in National Trail Conference action. The Lady Bombers began taking care of business right from the opening tip as they would pour in 24 first quarter points with 12 points from Dayana Haslett and seven points from Madi Miller leading the way as BSE ran out to a 24-11 lead. An 17-0 run in the first five and a half minutes of the second quarter had BSE up 41-11 before Neoga was able to score their first three points of the period on a made basket and ensuing free throw. The Lady Bombers kept pushing and would outscore the Indians 22-5 in the quarter for a 46-16 halftime lead. The baskets would keep coming in the second half as Addie Sasse got on a run, dropping in 12 points in the third to push BSE to outscore Neoga 22-4 in the third quarter and push their lead out to 68-20 by the end of the third quarter. A 10-7 advantage in the fourth quarter closed out the dominating win for BSE, 78-27. The win marks the eighth win in a row for BSE as they improve to 12-2 on the season and now stand at 4-0 in the NTC. They will be off from competition for the Christmas holiday break until they begin competition in the Dieterich Holiday Tournament on December 26 with games against Casey-Westfield at 11:30am and against South Central at 4:00pm on the first day of pool play.
