A rough second quarter was too much to overcome as South Central fell to OPH, 44-31, at Oblong on Wednesday night. The Lady Cougars played tough in the first quarter as OPH took a small 12-9 lead by the end of the quarter. South Central would struggle to score in the second quarter though as they were held to four points as they went 4 for 4 from the free throw line and would trail 22-13 at halftime. The third quarter would be another battle as the Cougars were just outscored 11-9 in the quarter and their deficit grew to double digits as they were behind 33-22 to start the fourth quarter. The close second half battle continued into the fourth quarter as Sought Central stayed tight with OPH, but they were able to put together any comeback attempt as they were outscored 11-9 in the quarter as OPH closed out the game, handing the Cougars the 44-31 loss.
