Our Pro Wire Athlete of the Week for December 7 are CHBC senior Macee Rodman, Vandalia senior Wade Brannon and the Vandalia Girls Basketball team.
The Lady Bobcats’ Rodman has been the backbone of CHBC’s offense this week as they have went 2-1 across their last three games. The senior has averaged 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists and a block per game on the week. Through 9 games to start the season, Rodman is averaging 19.7 points per game.
The Vandals’ Brannon put up three straight games of 20 points and hit for 15 points and 7 rebounds on Friday night even as he battled some foul trouble. So far this season, Wade is averaging 17.6 points per game.
The Lady Vandals are off to their best start to a season since 2015-2016. Vandalia is 6-1 through their first seven games of the season, the best first 7 game stretch since they were 5-2 in their first seven games during that 2015-2016 season. They are currently on a four game win streak and will look to extend it to five games when they play at Flora on Monday.
