Our Pro Wire Athlete of the Week for December 1 are all of the I70Sports area girls and boys basketball athletes who were named as All-Tournament honorees from the Thanksgiving week and Fall Tip-Off Tournaments this past week.
From Altamont girls basketball, junior Kaylee Lurkins was named to the Bob Kerans Tournament’s All-Tournament team. From Brownstown-St. Elmo, sophomores Dayana Haslett and Madi Miller were both named to the Pana Girls Thanksgiving Tournament All-Tournament Team. From CHBC, senior Macee Rodman was named as a member of the Nokomis Fall-Tip Off Tournament Team and was then named MVP of the CHBC Girls Thanksgiving Tournament while teammate and sophomore Haley Doty was All-Tournament Team for the tournament. From Ramsey, Kelsey Hayes was named to the CHBC Girls Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team and from Vandalia girls basketball, senior Madison Lupton was named to the Nokomis Fall Tip-Off All-Tournament Team.
Seven I70Sports boys basketball athletes were named to the Mulberry Grove Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team including Mulberry Grove’s Jackson Icenogle and Landon Sugg, St. Elmo-Brownstown’s Lowell Wilhour and Graidon Wilhour and South Central’s Seth Bergmann and Westin Neilson were named to the All-Tournament Team while also from South Central, Brody Markley was named as the Tournament MVP. From Vandalia boys basketball, senior Wade Brannon was named to the Cumberland Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team.
