Girls Basketball Season Is Here, BSE and Ramsey With Season Openers Tonight

After two weeks of practice, the start of girls basketball games across the state is here and two I70Sports teams will kick off their seasons tonight. Brownstown-St. Elmo will look to duplicate their success of a season ago when they went 26-8 and made it to a Regional Championship game. The Lady Bombers return a large portion of their roster and will open their season up at home, hosting Cumberland for a Varsity Only contest at 6:15pm. The Lady Rams co-op team of Ramsey and Mulberry Grove will start their season on the road tonight at Sandoval with JV at 6:15pm. The Lady Rams are coming off of a season with a 5-17 that showed much improvement from their prior two season and a handful of their losses coming by less than five points and a few of those were to bigger schools. With just three seniors on last year’s squad, the Rams will return three starters for this year’s team.
