Vandalia’s Depew Named to IHSFCA 2A All-State Team

For the third year in a row, a member of the Vandalia High School Football team has been named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association’s 2A All-State Team. Junior wide receiver and defensive back Kohnor Depew has been honored on this year’s team. Depew was an offensive threat for the Vandals this year amassing 854 receiving yards with 12 touchdowns, 358 rushing yards with 6 touchdowns and also added three special teams touchdowns two punt return touchdowns and one kick return touchdown. Depew averaged 18.98 yards per reception this season and averaged 23.87 yards on each rushing attempts. Depew and other All-State team members in all classes will be honored during the IHSA State Football weekend on November 29 and 30 at Hancock Stadium at Illinois State University.
