St. Elmo-Brownstown volleyball fought hard for two sets, but could not keep up with the hitting attack of Nokomis as they fell 13-25, 17-25 in the semifinals of the St. Anthony 1A Regional on Wednesday night. After fighting point for point with Nokomis in the first set to be at a 9-9 tie, the Lady Eagles found themselves on the wrong end of a 16-4 run to drop the first set. Nokomis was able to pull away slightly for a 15-12 lead, but the Lady Eagles went on a 3-0 run to tie it up at 15-15.
