CHBC's Season Comes to an End in Two-Set Loss to Carrollton


The Cowden Herrick/Beecher City Lady Bobcats season came to an end in a 25-27, 13-25 loss in the St. Anthony 1A Regionals to the #3 seeded Carrollton Lady Hawks. CHBC got off to a hot start in the first set, going on a 5-0 run to start the set, and later pushed that lead out to 10-2. Carrollton would then rally to tie the game at 17, before CHBC would retake the lead 19-17, forcing the Lady Hawks would call a timeout. The Lady Hawks would then rally to take a 24-23 lead, but the Lady Bobcats would not go away quietly as they would tie it at 24, and later went up 25-24, but Carrollton would go on a 3-0 run to come away with the set win. The two teams would trade points in the second set, before Carrollton would find themselves with a 16-9 lead. The Lady Bobcats would attempt a comeback, cutting the deficit to 17-13, but Carrollton would go on an 8-0 to come away with the win. CHBC’s season ends with a record of 16-14.
