Altamont Boys and Girls Run Season, Personal Records at NTC Meet


The Altamont boys and girls cross country teams had several season and personal records at the chilly National Trail Conference Meet held at Community Park in Effingham on Tuesday. On the girls side of the meet, Abigail Weishaar would finish in the top 10, coming in 10th place with a time of 23:28, a season record for the senior. Teammate Katie Tedrick finished right on Weishaar’s heels, coming in 11th with a time of 23:31, a personal record for the junior.

On the boys side of the meet, the Indians top two finishers came in back to back in 20th and 21st as junior Jacob Johnson ran a personal record time of 19:53 and junior Juan Fulk ran a 19:54. Altamont’s third and fourth runners also came in back to back positions with junior Lane Spring finishing 30th with a 21:15 and freshman Wyatt Wolff coming in 31st with a personal record time of 21:26.

The Indians will now take a week and a half off as they gear up to compete in the Class 1A Shelbyville Regional on Saturday, October 26 at Forest Park in Shelbyville.
