"Best Of" Overall-Male Athlete of the Year

Male Co-Athletes of the Year

Andrew Kelly-Vandalia: Andrew’s Senior season was something to see.  It started off with one of the greatest football seasons you will ever see a player put together, contributing 1,949 yards passing and 1,244 yards rushing during the season and averaging nearly 4 Touchdowns per game.  He was first team all conference on both offense and defense as he continued to be outstanding defensively, as well.  Injuries robbed Andrew of most of his Senior basketball season.  But, he was health and ready to go for baseball and put together a slash line of .398/.468/.657 with 2 Homers and 29 RBI, 29 runs scored and 15 stolen bases along with playing a flawless CF for the Vandals.  Andrew goes down as having one of the greatest high school football seasons you will ever see and being a top level 3 sport athlete.

Adam Atwood-BSE/SEB: Adam is the type of athlete that is able to do without a lot of flash and with a maturity that is well beyond his years.  In basketball, Adam contributed 15.9 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game and 2.9 assists per game in helping to lead the Eagles to a 20 win season.  Adam is the type of player that can play anywhere on the basketball court at the high school level—from the 1 to the 5.  He was named 1st Team All NTC for his outstanding Senior season.  In baseball, Adam hit .300 with a .456 on base percentage with 21 hits, 13 RBI and 23 runs scored.  Adam had an excellent Senior year on the mound, pitching 50 2/3 innings with a 2.07 ERA and going against the top teams and other team’s top pitchers just about every time out.  Coach Beccue gave him THE biggest assigments on the mound and he responded with an outstanding year.
